• When the Israelites saw the Egyptians coming after them in the Red Sea, “They feared greatly”.
  What do the Isrealites’ response teach us about humanity?
• “Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord…the Lord will fight for you (Exodus 14:13)” – What do you see in this command?
  How does this line apply to your life today, with what you are walking through?
• Consider the statement that true freedom involves being “free from something for something else.” Discuss how this perspective can be applied in practical terms to daily Christian life.
• It’s been said, “You can get out of Egypt, but Egypt has a heck of a time getting out of you.” How does this apply to personal struggles with sin or habits? What are ways we go back to the things that have enslaved us?

What is true freedom? And what are your thoughts on the concept of “freedom from self”?

• Is there a “Red Sea” circumstance you are facing right now or faced in the past (a time where you couldn’t seem to see a way out)? What was that like for you? If it was in the past, can you share how you saw God’s hand at work?
