-Acts 1:6-8 describes Jesus ascending to heaven and the disciples’ role in spreading the gospel. What does Jesus’ response to the disciples’ question about the restoration of the kingdom teach us about the timing and nature of God’s kingdom? Also, what does it look like for us to bear witness to Christ today?

-In Luke 4:18-21, Jesus reads from Isaiah and proclaims the fulfillment of the scripture. How does this passage define the mission of Jesus and the nature of the Kingdom of God?

-Revelation 21:1-4 paints a picture of the new heaven and new earth. How does this future vision of the Kingdom provide hope and encouragement in our present lives?

-Reflecting on Matthew 6:33, consider an area in your life where seeking God’s kingdom first might challenge your current priorities. How can you make practical changes to align this part of your life more closely with Jesus’ teaching?

-Based on Acts 1:8, how can you personally be a more effective witness for Jesus in your “Jerusalem” (local community), “Judea and Samaria” (extended areas), and “ends of the earth” (global context)?

-The vision of the new heaven and new earth in Revelation 21 offers a glimpse into a future without pain or suffering. How can this promise shape the way you respond to current struggles and suffering, both in your own life and in the lives of others around you?
