Open the Scriptures
– Paul makes a string of prayers and declarations about the identity of the believers in Colossae. What stood out to you the most in all these statements?

– Paul calls the Colossians saints and faithful in Christ. Do you primarily see yourself as “in Christ” or as defined by something else (success, failure, sin, past experiences)?

– If someone asked you, “Who are you?”, how would you answer in light of your identity in Christ?

– The Gospel bears fruit and increases wherever it is received. Where do you see the Gospel growing in your life, family, or community?

– Paul says we are to “walk worthy” in light of the way of Jesus. Are there areas of your life that don’t reflect Jesus? What needs to change?

– If someone asked you, “Who are you?”, how would you answer in light of your identity in Christ?
– What is one way you want to grow in your knowledge and understanding of God this year?

– Who are you actively discipling and growing with in Christ? Who is sharpening you spiritually?

– How can you be a purveyor of hope this week to someone struggling?

– Paul says God has delivered us from darkness and transferred us into Christ’s kingdom where we find redemption and forgiveness.  What does it mean for you to live as a redeemed person today?
