1. What do you notice about Zacchaeus’s response to Jesus in Luke 19:1–10?

What do his actions show us about what it means to truly “get it”?

2. How do the crowd’s actions during the Triumphal Entry (Luke 19:35–38) reveal both excitement and misunderstanding about who Jesus really is?

What scriptures are they quoting, and why does that matter?

3. Compare Luke 18:34 and Luke 19:40—what does it mean that the disciples didn’t understand, but the stones would cry out?

What do you think Luke is trying to show us about who “gets it” and who doesn’t?

4. Jesus weeps over the city in Luke 19:41–42.

What does this teach us about His heart—and about what brings Him sorrow?
