| Text: Leviticus-Ruth Open the Scriptures 1. Read Hebrews 10:1-10 slowly. What do you notice? 2. What does the command “you shall be holy, for I the Lord your God am holy” (Leviticus 19:2) tell us about how Israel was to live differently from surrounding nations? 3. Read Joshua 24:14-15. What is significant about the reality of the people trying to worship both God and idols? 4. Read Deuteronomy 6:4-7. What do you notice about the “greatest commandment” in the Bible? What does it look like to love God with your heart, soul, and strength? Open Your Lives 1. What could holiness look like for us in our world today? 2. Think of a time when you reacted like the complaining Israelites instead of trusting God. What did that moment reveal about where your trust really was? 3. What ways has your life been a “ferris wheel” of faith-where you cycle away from God and then back toward Him? 4. In the book of Judges we see earlier generations failing to pass on the faith to the next generation. What does it look like in our day to pass on the faith? |
