Open The Scriptures
- Reflecting on the Lord’s Prayer in Matthew 6, especially on the notion of God’s kingdom coming to earth, how does this shape our understanding of living as citizens of God’s kingdom here and now?
- Spend some time reflecting on what it would look like to see the kingdom of heaven on earth. What would it look like? How would it be different from our experience of this world?
- Reflect on Psalm 139:1, which speaks of God’s intimate knowledge of us. How does this truth enhance the meaning of addressing God as “Our Father” in the Lord’s Prayer?

- This week we explored the power of remembering God’s provision in our lives. How can you incorporate intentional practices of remembrance into your daily routine to strengthen your faith?
- Reflect on a time when you had to forgive someone a significant ‘debt’ in your life. How did this experience transform you, and what challenges did you face in that process of forgiveness? Is there anyone in your life currently suffering in “debtors prison”?
- Reflect on the analogy of breathing applied to forgiveness — inhaling God’s forgiveness and exhaling it to others. In what areas of your life do you find it challenging to ‘breathe out’ forgiveness, and how might you work through these challenges?
- “Give us this day our daily bread” is meant to keep us in a place of remembrance and need for God. Is there an area in your life that you need to give up control and give over to Gods daily provision?
