Psalm 77 – June 15, 2025

Text: Pslam 77
Theme: Cry, Question, Remember

Open the Scriptures

  1. In verses 1–3, the writer is crying out to God in a really honest way. What stands out to you about how he prays when he’s hurting?
  2. Verses 4–9 are full of hard questions about where God is. Which of those questions have you found yourself asking before?
  3. In verses 10–12, there’s a shift—he starts remembering what God has done. Why do you think that helps? What’s the power in remembering?
  4. When you read verses 13–20, what do you notice about who God is and what He’s done? How do those truths help when life feels heavy?

Open Your Lives

1. What are some of the struggles you’re facing right now—big or small? How are they affecting you?

2. When you’re feeling down or overwhelmed, do you tend to cry out to God, shut down, or distract yourself? What would it look like to bring that stuff honestly to Him and other people?

 3. The psalmist chooses to remember God’s past faithfulness. What’s one time in your life when you saw God come through—and how could that help you now?

4. What would it take for your group of friends or your church family to be a place where people can be both honest with struggles and hopeful in God?

5. When you’re in the middle of a hard season, who helps remind you of what’s true? Who’s shepherding you when you feel stuck or discouraged?
